🎷🇬🇵🕺💿🎶 Biguine En Nous is Les Mercenaires‘ first hit, released in 1968 on Aux Ondes, the Disques CĂ©lini label. It’s also the first EP by the group formed by saxophonist Edouard Benoit, with the Winter brothers, Alain and Raymond. On the B side, Stranger, somewhere between Moody Blues and Aphrodite’s Child, will have you dancing the summer of ’68 in Guadeloupe, but the little 45 also includes a cover of the famous calypso Dr Keetch, written by Lord Kitchener, and with lyrics as always with a double meaning. Nostalgia!
