🎶🎹🎺🌴👌 Just one year into their existence, and already the third album for the Typical Combo led by Georges Plonquitte and Hiver Abidos. “Typical avec Philo” also marked the group’s arrival on the Disques Debs label in 1975. The cadence flirts with compas, and the Cuban influence is omnipresent. Special mention must go to the excellent keyboards of (perhaps) JosĂ© Vulbeau, on both organ and electric piano (unfortunately, the credits are almost non-existent here…), in brilliant dialogue with the furiously Latin trumpet of Philogène Astasie. Philogène Astasie is in the limelight here, composing all the tracks.
