👨🎤👨🏿🎤🎹🌍👥💿 Musiki is the third album by the successful band ESA, born in Cameroon in the 80s. The band was formed by Stephan Dayas and Martin Socko Moukoko, but the latter left the group at the end of the second album. Dayas is now alone at the helm of Musiki, but well surrounded by Hilaire Penda, Yves Ndjock, Toto Guillaume and Philippe Guez – the crème de la crème of Afro-pop. It’s a time of programming and synthesizer sounds, but the energy on top of that, with its flavors of makossa and zouk, wins you over without question, with tracks like O Weni, Musiki, or the excellent Makom, which closes the album in true Kassavian spirit (and even though brass instruments are not mentioned in the credits…)!
