The singer, percussionist and bandleader has set up his own SAR label, on which (among many others) this very elegantly Creole album is published! Elegantemente Criollo was released in 1986, a few years after Torres’ cover of Caballo Viejo, written by Venezuelan Simon Diaz, which made him a hit.
