🎶💔🙏🏾🎤🌍 A thought for Julius Essoka, a friend who left us prematurely today. I had known him through Gino Sitson, and for fifteen years he had trusted us to look after his music on the net. His album Epassi n’Epassi was released in 2008, a mix of afro folk and makossa, with guest appearances by Gino Sitson and Leni Stern. A connoisseur of Cameroonian music, its history and its players, he was a talented singer and poet, a big brother to many young artists. Rip Julius, may the earth be light to you.
