In 2017, Nanga Boko Records reissued for the first time the historic album by Nkotti François and the Black Styls, “De Bonabéri à Douala“. Released forty years earlier by Disques Cousin, it was the first LP by this legendary group formed by Nkotti François with Emile Kangue, Toto Guillaume, Essongue Antoine and Jean Mouelle at the dawn of the 70s. After a busy musical career, Nkotti François also tried his hand at politics, while continuing to perform and promote music. Sadly, Nkotti François passed away at the beginning of August. With a little delay, we offer our condolences to his family and friends.
